A Study on the Effect of Group Art Therapy Using Mandala and Collage for the Enhancement of Concentration and Self-Esteem of Children from Broken Homes

Abstract
This study aims at measuring the effect of group art therapy using mandala and collage on enhancement of concentration and self-esteem of children from broken homes. The results of the study are presented as follows: First, this study examines the transitional aspects of the subjects by the program using mandala and collage and finds that the post K-HTP shows positive changes in comparison with the pre- K-HTP. Second, this study provides group art therapy for the subjects and compares their scores of concentration. All the subjects show significant difference in concentration as follows: from more than 75T to less than 60 T. Third, when the program is provided for the subject to examine the transitional aspects of their self-esteem, their self-esteem is enhanced, through which the effect of the program is demonstrated. In conclusion, this study demonstrates that group art therapy using mandala and collage designed to enhance concentration and self-esteem of children from broken homes is effective in enhancement of concentration and self-esteem, and the program helps the subjects have internal power to see their internal sides through self-seeking, self-expression, self-recognition and self-acceptance, emotional support and psychological stability.
